Ambulance ramping at the Peel Health Campus is out of control. In fact, it is a staggering 20 times worse than when Labor came to power.

 

And that means, every month, hundreds of hours of patients waiting in ambulance care for an emergency bed.

 

Meanwhile, ramped ambulances are prevented from attending the next emergency call-out.

 

Peel Health Campus has been neglected under Labor. 8 years in power, but still we wait for the long promised upgrade.

 

To make things worse, this future upgrade is woefully inadequate. While our population has doubled, the upgrade only increases capacity by 30%.

 

Roger Cook, as Health Minister and now as Premier, has let us down.

 

Under Labor we are forgotten and ignored, while they focus on MetroNet for northern suburbs.

 

So what do I intend to do about it? Fair question.

 

First up, the upgrade needs to happen, as a short-term solution. So I will ensure it gets done ASAP - no more delays!

 

But at the same time, I’ll be fighting for the longer term solution - a whole new hospital in our region, with all the critical services we need.
